Our primary objective is to promote the interests of owners and residents of properties in Taiura. We work on your behalf to ensure Tairua is the community and environment you want it to be and be in. We are here for you!
Our Aims
To help preserve, safeguard and promote the unique natural character and environment of Tairua and enhance its social, cultural and economic wellbeing now and for generations to come.
To monitor the development and maintenance of Tairua’s infrastructure, amenities and services by the relevant authorities and advocate on matters of interest and concern, including making submissions to protect our interests.
How do we do that?
Work on your behalf to represent Tairua’s interests with the:
Tairua/Pauanui Community Board
Thames Coromandel District Council (TCDC)
Waikato Regional Council
Community Groups
What do we do?
Work with other community groups and organisations, including the Tairua /Pauanui Community Board, Thames Coromandel District Council (TCDC), Waikato Regional Council (WRC), in the best interest of Tairua.
Have input into, and promote, the Tairua Community Plan.
Keep a watchful eye over:
TCDC planning and rates expenditure,
WRC monitoring of Tairu aHarbour, waterways and forests
Water supply and quality
Roading and infrastructure Services

Annual membership $10 per household.
